Sienna Tunnell & Riley Murphy, through their Senior Capstone Service Project at Sussex Academy, are creating the opportunity for us to give back to our community. To help the homeless and less fortunate in Delaware, and aid them in getting back on their feet, Pot-Nets is collecting donations in the form of hygiene products and other necessities.

Below is a list of products that can be contributed. All items received will go directly towards creating care packages, called "Blessing Bags". Each Blessing Bag will contain a variety of comfort products including socks, hygiene/feminine products, food, and more! The bags will be donated to a local charity in Georgetown, The Shepards Office.

Please bring your new & unused items to the Pot-Nets Main Office, or the Baywood Sales Office! Look for the Blessing Bag donation bins, and spread your generosity to others. It's a great time to donate those extra products you've been holding on to for too long!

You can also help through the purchase of a "Blessing Bag" t-shirt ($25) or tote bag ($20). These are available in two different colors, and can be purchased at the Pot-Nets Main Office front desk. *Cash Only* Money raised from the sale of t-shirts and tote bags will go directly towards the creation of the Blessing Bags for the homeless community.

Every donation brings our community one step closer to helping end the homelessness epidemic. Your support would be greatly appreciated!

Pot-Nets Catnippers Need Your Help!
Please take time to consider volunteering your time to help Nancy & Kate and everyone else involved in our Pot-Nets Catnippers Volunteer Group. They need your help more than ever. To show your respect for The Catnippers group, and give a "thank you" to Nancy & Kate for all that they have done, please consider donating some of your time to the group. 

The Catnippers Group needs help with the care & feeding of the cats. Becoming a member of the group will help improve your community while giving yourself the satisfaction of knowing you helped the animals in need.

Housing Association Scholarship
 
The First State Manufactured Housing Association (FSMHA)  will again be offering four Scholarships to deserving recipients.  Each scholarship is in the amount of $2,500, and totals $10,000.

Manufactured Home Resident Scholarship Award:

Four (4) $2,500 scholarships will be awarded to graduating seniors, GED recipients, or students who are currently enrolled in college, technical schools or trade schools.  Full or part time registration in an accredited program is acceptable.  Award recipients may reapply annually.  Eligible participants must live in a modular or manufactured home in Delaware for at least one year prior to the application.
 

Manufactured Home Resident Scholarship Criteria:

This completed application must be accompanied by an original type-written 300-word essay explainingthe impact of factory-built housing on your life, career goals and why you feel you are deserving of a scholarship, a copy of your high school, GED, or college transcript, and three letters of reference from business persons, clergy, or community leaders.  Only one of these may be from a school administrator or teacher.  You may copy the included sheet for your letters of reference OR attach your individually typed letters of reference.  In order to be considered, the completed application, with essay and reference, must be postmarked to FSMHA by March 4, 2023.
 

Award Selection:

Selection is based on the essay response, scholastic grades, community involvement, honors recommendations, and personal goals.  Judges’ decision is final.  Alternates will be selected and move to first place should a winner be disqualified, receive a full scholarship from another source, or decide not to further his/her education.  Recipients and those who are not chosen for this scholarship will be notified via mail in April.
