Pot-Nets Communities

We would like to wish you all a happy Fourth of July!

We hope your weekend is filled with family, friends, and fun!

Pot-Nets Seaside, April 1995

On Tuesday, Governor Carney issued a 23rd Modification to the State of Emergency declaration, which closes bars in eastern Sussex County to limit the spread of COVID-19.

While this does not close down establishments with alternative seating (i.e. restaurants), it is requiring them to remove bar seating and require drinks be consumed at your table (with social distancing in effect).

Some restaurants in Sussex County have decided to close completely to reduce the spread, so please contact these restaurants directly if you're planning to visit this holiday weekend.

If there is a stray cat in your neighborhood, please notify Catnippers at 302-945-4300 or at [email protected].

Upcoming Yard Sale Dates:
  • CDS HOA (Coveside, Dockside, Seaside): Saturday, August 29th
  • Creekside: Saturday, August 29th
  • Lakeside:  DateTBD
  • Bayside: Date TBD

Starting Friday at all Paradise locations - bar seating and service will not be available (you place your alcohol and drink orders with server who will bring them to you at your table). All seating will be done strictly at tables. Nothing changes from what we have been doing with all the guidelines in phase 2 for the last few weeks besides the removal of bar seating, starting Friday. Still no reservations, and seating will be first come first serve, all while following proper social distancing and guidelines. We recommend getting here early. Again, the only thing changing is the removal of bar seating.

The ice cream shack will still be open normal time, the marina for fuel and to go food and drinks will still operate like it has been. Bar seats are taken away starting Friday and that’s it. Great acoustic stripped down entertainment will still be happening on the beach stage Thursday - Sunday.

We know this is not ideal but we will continue to follow all guidelines and lead by example. The health of our amazing employees and you amazing customers will remain our driving force for following all protocols and guidelines. We wish this was a normal summer but it is not, so we will continue to try and make the best out of this situation while still providing a little slice of paradise, all while remain safe and healthy.

From all of us at Paradise - thank you for your continued support and understanding. We would be nowhere without you all! ❤️

Summer is in full swing! Now is everyone's favorite time to go out and explore our local waters. Take a day to captain a deck boat and enjoy scenic views of our very own state parks, anchor up on a pontoon and have a picnic with the whole family, grab a center console and test your luck at your favorite local fishing hole...the opportunities are endless!

The weather has improved and so has the fishing. Rockfish, bluefish and flounder have been reported in the Indian River and Indian River Inlet. Head across the Rehoboth Bay to the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal to warmer water where locals have been hooking flounder and even trout!

While having fun, it is easy to forget the number 1 rule of boating...Safety first!  Always have the proper number of PFD’s on board your vessel and maintain a sharp lookout to prevent an accident!  Use ‘three points of contact’ while boarding and disembarking the vessel.  Proper footwear can help prevent falls, and don’t forget the sunscreen!

For more information on how to get on the water the hassle-free way with Freedom Boat Club, call Rob Sweeney at (302)644-5998.  The boat is waiting, but summer won’t!

"Jeff [Rushing] - Awesome job on the stone work!  You and your crew always do an amazing job. You are a huge asset to the Pot-Nets Communities. Thanks again,"
- Monica, Pot-Nets Bayside Resident

"This morning we awoke to find that one of our trees had split in half from the storm last night. Called the main office first thing to report it. They responded quickly. Had someone come within an hour to cut the parts down that were dangling. The remaining part of the tree has been scheduled to be removed. The worker was not only prompt, but very polite. Just thought that I would give credit when it's due. This could have been a dangerous situation."
- Christine, Pot-Nets Resident
