Pot-Nets Communities

All of the Pot-Nets Marinas are "No Wake Zones".  Please slow downwhether or not your boat creates a large wake.

As you enter any of the Pot-Nets Marinas, reduce your speed and reduce your wake before you reach any jetty or area of constriction.  Your wake can follow you into the marina, causing unsafe & damaging conditions to both boats and people.  Especially at risk to high wakes are boats & boaters who are in the process of casting off, or docking at their boat slips. While untied, a high wake has the potential to smash a boat into a pier, dock or bulkhead, causing injuries or boat damage.

As you leave any of the Pot-Nets Marinas, please don't accelerate until you are free of areas of congestion or constriction.  At certain marinas, visibility to other boats can be limited.  Boat traffic, currents, tides & winds should all be considered before your decision to accelerate.

You may be able to get a 50% discount on a boat slip!

Each year on July 1st, we discount boat slips for RESIDENTS who fall into either of these two situations:

1. You are a NEW Resident who purchased a Pot-Nets home on or after July 1st. We will verify your new residency, and discount your boat slip through the end of the year.

or

2. You are an existing Pot-Nets Resident who purchased a boat on or after July 1st. You must never have had a Pot-Nets boat slip before, and are new to boating within Pot-Nets. You must provide us with a copy of your bill of sale indicating that the boat was purchased on or after July 1st, and we will discount your boat slip through the end of the year.

These discounts may be used only one-time per household, and may not be repeated in future years after buying or selling different boats.

Residents who do not meet the above two conditions, and simply wait until after July 1st to rent a boat slip, are not eligible for this discount.

On June 23, 2019, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Department was alerted for a Residential Structure Fire in Pot-Nets Lakeside. A young Lakeside resident was outside when she heard the smoke alarm sounding, and quickly notified her father. They quickly found a nearby home with smoke detectors sounding and smoke coming from a window and notified 911.

The source of the smoke was found to be a pan left on the stove when the homeowners left. Due to the quick action of these residents, damage to the home was kept to a minimum. At a presentation on July 6th, the Indian River Fire Company presented the young lady with a certificate to acknowledge her fire safety awareness, and a local business sponsor provided a gift certificate in her honor. We would like to personally thank our "Hometown Hero" and her father!

Lakeside Pool Update

As indicated in our previous resident e-mail, the Lakeside pool will be closed through Friday, July 19 for maintenance. The pool will be drained, chemically cleaned, refilled and super-chlorinated. Chlorine levels will then be brought back down to safe levels for swimmers.

We understand that closing any amenity during peak season is an inconvenience to our residents and their guests, and we would not do so if we felt it wasn't absolutely necessary. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, we anticipate re-opening the Lakeside pool on Saturday, July 20th.

Please be sure to shower before entering any of the pools, particularly if you have been swimming in the ocean or bays immediately prior. Microorganisms can be transferred from the bay water to pool water on your swimsuit. Also be sure to shower to remove, dirt, dust, pollen & sunscreen before entering the pool. All of these affect water quality.

Thank you!
