Tunnell Vision - August 2024

In Pot-Nets, we're lucky to observe some of the best sunrises & sunsets around! This summer we've decided to showcase them with a Sunset Photo Contest!

Sunrises & sunsets only please! (the higher the quality the better, if you are chosen as the winner - we might need a high resolution version of your photo!) We are looking for a dazzling photo that would fit perfectly on one of our billboards or in our different magazine and social media ads!

Must be recognizable as being taken in Pot-Nets or from the Delaware Inland Bays.

We will have two winners:

• Whoever accumulates the most "likes" on their photo posted under the Sunset Photo Contest post on Facebook will be our "Voters Choice" and will win a $250 gift card to Paradise Grill as well as the opportunity to be featured in our advertisements.
• We will also select an "Editors Choice" from the submissions under the Sunset Photo Contest post on Facebook and they will win a $250 gift card to Paradise Grill as well as the opportunity to be featured in our advertisements. 

 
All submissions must be in by Labor Day - Monday, September 2nd. 

The Pot-Nets Sandlot Baseball season is in full swing! The Gulls have already taken on the Lifeguards (2nd photo below), Families, Parents, and anyone who steps onto their Sandlot! We have a record amount of players this year and Coach Bobby is ready to welcome anyone else who wants to play!

Coach Bobby recalled a moment early in the season, "One of my 5 year old boys approaches the mound last night and quietly asks me if he could pitch. What happened next was a memory I will never forget. Amazing!! And he gets the ball right over the plate." See the first photo below of this moment.

The season still has some of its biggest moments, like "Meet The Pro's" week! Don't forget to sign your child/grandchild/etc. up if they want to play! No equipment needed!

1. Never drive recklessly. Drive courteously. Obey all vehicle traffic laws and rules of the road.
2. Drivers must be AT LEAST 14 years of age. Children under 16 years of age may not operate a golf car after dusk. 
3. Never drive intoxicated or under the influence of any drug or narcotic.
4. Make sure the parking brake is set when not in use. Do not leave keys in golf car unattended.
5. Always yield to pedestrians. When passing, use extreme care.
6. Avoid distractions while operating the golf car just as you would in an automobile. Be safe and attentive -- avoid texting, reaching for objects, or other distracting tasks.
7. There is a limit of four (4) persons per golf car. Passengers may not stand in, hang off, or run alongside vehicles. 
8. Turn on headlights after dusk, or when visibility is low. Golf cars are not to be operated between midnight and 6am. 
9. Utilize golf car paths, when available. Drivers should not impede the normal traffic flow of motor vehicles. 
10. Carefully turn and look behind golf car before backing up.
11. Reduce speed due for hazardous driving conditions, especially blind corners, intersections, and inclement weather.
